Marlie Mul and Cleo Fariselli talk about their artistic practices
Marlie Mul (Utrecht – Netherlands, 1980. Lives and works in Berlin and London). Her recent solo exhibitions include “Boneless Banquet For One” at Croy Nielsen, Berlin; “So We Came Anyways, In Barrels” at Fluxia, Milan; the exhibitions “No Oduur (Your Smoke Draws Me In)” at Oslo10, Basel; “No Oduur” at Space, London; and “Stop Being So Attractive I Can’t Get Anything Done” at Autocenter, Berlin; and the duo exhibition “Great Offers…” with Morag Keil at CEO Gallery, Malmö. Recent group exhibitions are “Curated By” at Galerie Emanuel Layr in Vienna; “Under the BQE” at M/L Artspace, New York; “One After One” at Vilma Gold, London; and “Humble Habits/Domestic Monuments “at Hinter Haus Des Meeres / HHDM, Vienna. In 2013 Marlie Mul also co-curated the group exhibition “Door Between Either and Or” with Judith Hopf of” at Kunstverein München.
Cleo Fariselli (Italy, 1982. Lives and works in Milan). Among the latest solo shows “u.”, ex-Brun, Bologna and “Ricercar (20-20k)”, O ‘, Milan. Among the latest group shows “5X5Castelló2013”, Premi Internacional d’art contemporani Diputació de Castelló; “Estate”, Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York; “In full bloom”, Raffaella Cortese Gallery, Milan; “Hotel Meridian”, River barge Spaceman Spiff, London; “The autumn harvest was abundant” at Viafarini, Milan. In 2009 she participates in the residence of the Dena Foundation for Contemporary Art, Paris.
