Manuela Pereira Enríquez (1998). Born in Lalín, a small, rural village that lies in inland Galicia. She studied Art History at the University of Santiago de Compostela and currently lives in Barcelona where she is studying a master’s degree in Literature, Art and Contemporary Culture. She tells us about the golden age complex and a nostalgic soul nourished by infinite love for her land. That’s where her interest in the vernacular shapes, the authenticity of the underworld, the preservation of aesthetic identity or intergenerationality as a source of wisdom comes from. “My work pretends to be a Visual Weapon, that’s how I conceive art, I like to make poetry where the triangle is a bully and the circles are punks that despite their condition, that is subject to a geometric hierarchy, are able to round the apex”
