Rosanna del Solar
(1979, Perú) is as an independent curator and art producer. She studied Culinary Arts, Philosophy and holds a BA in Fashion Design. In 2011 she was part of the team involved in the first program Mali – In Situ for the Museo de Arte de Lima-MALI. This program invited British based in Mexico Melanie Smith to collaborate with curator Tatiana Cuevas in the film Bulto that was part of the official selection of the 54th Venice Biennale for the Mexican Pavilion. She has worked in collaboration with Peruvian curator Rodrigo Quijano in several projects. In 2012, Remittances: 13 Peruvian artists abroad, studied the recent wave of Peruvian art rooted in an international context, which is inevitably related to the old debate about the contemporariness of the local arts. And most recently in the project Perú: Land of Tomorrow for the Peruvian Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale She has been part of the Curatorial Program of Research (CPR) in Kiev, Warsaw and Prague: Building Capitals, Finding Capital: Developing Projects across Prague, Warsaw, and Kiev. Her final proposal for the program, Longing & Belonging, was chosen for funding and the exhibition will take place in Lima in 2018.
