teabreak is a ceremony and a mobile space for communication. teabreak is inspired by the Indian tradition of “kulhar”, where cups of clay were used to glaze to drink before throwing them away. The cups used in teabreak are made by hand, and each ceremony acquires a particular meaning, depending on where it takes place. The participants take part in a conversation circle that I launch as a master of ceremonies. In the end, the participants are invited to break the cup in which the tea has been served.
teabreak started in 2016 at the European Medicines Agency (London), Stanley Pecker Gallery (London), Ausstellungsraum Klingental (Basel), Slow School Festival (Gstaad) and recently at BNP Paribas (Geneva).
