Cloud Catchers, a project by Ingrid Hora
We are thrilled to announce that Cloud Catchers, a project by artist Ingrid Hora, has been awarded the prestigious Italian Council grant!
In October 2024, Ingrid began her research in Barcelona with curator Emanuele Guidi, and the project will culminate in a solo exhibition at HAUS in late 2025.
Blending art and science, Cloud Catchers addresses pressing issues of the water crisis and its associated inequalities. The project critically explores the development and implementation of Western water-collection technologies, investigating their potential and impact across diverse populations and regions around the Mediterranean Sea.
Cloud Catchers is promoted by BAR project in collaboration with Hangar (Barcelona) and Eurac Research (Bozen/Bolzano), with cultural partnerships including the Dar Bellarj Foundation (Marrakech). Upon completion, the project will join the collection of the MACTE Foundation (Termoli).
The project is supported by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture under the Italian Council program (13th edition, 2024), which aims to promote Italian contemporary art worldwide.
